      Are you passionate about care and supporting the lives of others?

      Our Positive Support Coordinators form part of the Home Management team and are an integral part to our service, working closely with the people that we support.

      What will you be doing?

      Within your new role, you will be promoting the use of PROACT-SCIPr-UK®, Liaise Loddon's core approach to supporting people who present with severe challenging behavior, and ensuring that the team as a whole acts according to its principles.

      You will also be developing and implementing individualized activity schedules, personalized support plans and preparing detailed and evidence based reports.

      What we need from you

      Ideally, you will have a degree in Psychology, Learning Disability Nursing or Teaching. Preferably you will have experience of working in a learning disability environment or similar, and experience of working with people who exhibit challenging behavior (although this isn’t essential!)

      You will also have collected/analysed data and developed/implemented and reviewed individual support plans or similar processes.

      A full driving license is essential for this role.

      As a Shift Leader you will lead a team of Support Workers, providing day-to-day supervision, guidance, support, and be accountable for their performance. This will include completing daily staffing allocations, promoting the use of PROACT-SCIPr-UK®, and carry out the duties of a Support Worker to an exemplary standard.

      Essential

      • Significant previous experience as a support worker in a similar care setting
      • Knowledge and understanding of positive approaches to supporting adults with severe learning disabilities and autism
      • Care Certificate
      • QCF/QCG/NVQ Level II in Health and Social Care or equivalent
      • Basic IT skills

We use modern positive behaviour support approaches based within PROACT-SCIPr-UK. This is embedded in absolutely everything that we do! We consistently receive ‘Good’ ratings from the CQC.
