Double Negative Feature Animation, a newly realized feature animation facility, is looking for character modelers to join our team. Together we will bring the vision of both major Hollywood studios and independent productions to life.
Key Purpose of the Job:
We are looking for modellers to create highly detailed organic character models suitable for use in feature animation work. Anticipating and communicating any model performance issues and ensure adherence to the Double Negative Feature Animation production pipeline protocols.
Needs to Do:
Build complex 3D character models for an array of visuals within features.
Take direction from the Production Designer and work along side development artists and character TD’s to interpret designs and translate into builds and models for the production.
Determine an appropriate level of detail for all models you are required to create.
Use reference material where possible to create suitable representations of the needed character or prop.
Needs to Know:
Must have keen knowledge and understanding of anatomy.
How to effectively translate your ideas to communicate with other artists.
Traditional sculpting techniques using digital tools such as Maya or Z-brush.
Strong sense of form, scale and proportion.
Needs to Be:
Able to learn in house work flows and methodologies.
Able to adapt to changing requirements or briefs.
