    Key Purpose of the Job:
    As an ambassador of DNeg, the PR and Communications Manager, supporting all Global offices, will recognise and be proactive in taking advantage of opportunities to promote DNeg and it’s activities to both the internal and external environment.  They will be the main point of contact for all communications and PR related issues and queries, and with senior management will develop a PR and Communications strategy.  They will recognise and advise the business on appropriate methods for internal and external communications and PR events and will manage DNeg’s relationships with the external media.  They will be the main point of contact for the marketing departments of DNeg’s clients and will be responsible for obtaining the permissions of images and footage for PR purposes.

    Key Responsibilities:


    Be the main point of contact for DNeg on all internal and external communications issues, advising employees and managers as required
    Build strong internal relationships with key departments within DNeg, e.g. Studio, Editorial, HR, senior managers, to ensure the department is kept abreast of show progress and various events arising
    Working alongside the senior management team, develop a strategy for both internal and external communications for both London and Singapore
    Coordinate internal and external events, liaising with various internal departments as appropriate
    Liaising with senior managers and the training department, drive and coordinate internal talks between shows to share knowledge and best practice
    Co-ordinate input and manage the production of the monthly company newsletter
    Manage company announcements through writing or co-ordinating the writing/production of communications for the senior management team, advising on the best delivery methods
    Coach the senior management team and key speakers for events, by preparing them for internal company announcements and making external speeches
    Manage internal newsgroup and forum postings and establish best practice approach
    Manage, approve and maintain intranet, website and brochure content where appropriate
    Working alongside the HR and senior management team, develop employee engagement initiatives and strategy
    Track effectiveness of communication efforts and advise senior management team

    Public Relations:
    Be the main point of contact for DNeg on all PR related issues, advising employees and managers as required
    Liaising with Recruitment and senior management, develop a recruitment publicity strategy to target the best talent pools globally
    Build strong external relationships with key media and industry contacts, e.g. journalists within the VFX field and entertainment community, and with the PR and other key departments of DNeg’s clients
    Establish databases and procedures for other departments to browse and obtain approved images for promotional purposes
    Liaise with our clients to acquire permissions for use of images and footage for DNeg’s PR purposes
    Liaising with Production, produce Press Kits for each show including writing press releases, selecting stills and creating key shot breakdowns
    Write press releases for external publication
    Think creatively about external PR opportunities and proactively develop these opportunities for DNeg
    Promote DNeg’s external presence by coordinating key employees for media interviews and talks at industry events, proactively to maximising DNeg’s exposure at these events
    Working with the Production team, manage awards submissions, preparing the necessary material working to submission deadlines
    Liaising with Editorial, organise regular updates of company showreel
    Manage and approve DNeg’s social networking presence
    Track DNeg’s exposure/coverage across different communications/PR mediums, e.g. newspapers, journals, magazines, internet, social networking etc.
    Manage and develop a comprehensive style guide for all DNeg branding
    Manage biographies and head shots of key staff

    Skills and Abilities:
    Graduate within a relevant field, e.g. Journalism, Marketing, Communications
    Previous experience of working within PR and/or Communications, ideally within the film or creative/media sector
    Proven track history of delivery in a similar level role
    Experience of owning and following through on projects from start to finish co-ordinating numerous people both internally and externally

    Experience of dealing with and influencing customers/contacts to promote DNeg in the best light and to get from them what is required, e.g. studio image permissions
    Easily adept at influencing and co-ordinating senior management and building strong partnerships within a business
    Highly self-motivated and comfortable to operate within a stand-alone role able to work effectively on own initiative

    Expert verbal and written communication skills – able to write creatively
    Experience of public speaking

    Astute problem solver
    Upbeat and energetic with a can-do approach to work.

    Experience of working in a pressurised environment and being able to respond calmly and effectively

    Ability to see the bigger picture and operate accordingly
    Excellent organisational and time management skills

    Good General IT skills, and knowledge of software including Microsoft Office, Wordpress, PhotoShop and other packages as appropriate
