    London, Mumbai and Vancouver. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a smart, detail-oriented HR & L&D
    Advisor to join our Human Resources team.

    Key Purpose of the Job:
    Provide generalist HR support in all matters of employee relations as part of a larger HR team, with an
    individual client base. Coach ‘new’ managers through a range of employee relations issues as they arise,
    advising on HR best practice whilst at the same time ensuring a pragmatic and business focus appropriate to
    DNeg. Work collaboratively with Managers/HoDs, ensuring the best solutions are provided and effective
    communication at all times.

    Support less experienced members of the HR team; jointly supervising the HR Administrators and HR
    Assistants and exposing them to employee relations issues as they arise, but taking the lead and seeing these
    through to completion autonomously.

    Key HR contact for all L&D related activity, supporting the Training department and individual department
    heads across all aspects of internal and external training initiatives.

    Key Generalist Responsibilities:
    • Employee Relations – be first point of contact for all employee relations issues for client base as they
    arise, providing pragmatic and DNeg focussed advice.
    • Performance Management – taking an active role in performance management for client base in
    conjunction with Managers/HoDs, providing a ‘feedback & advice’ channel and helping to resolve issues.
    Lead any formal performance management processes (PIPs).
    • Talent Management – support Managers/HoDs to identify and work with maximising both poor and high
    • Ad Hoc People Issues – support Managers/HoDs in dealing with any ‘people issues’ in their departments.
    Understanding employee frustrations and help them solve or refer them as appropriate.
    • Performance Reviews - conduct annual performance reviews with Senior Managers as appropriate.
    Supervising the collation of feedback for annual and probationary reviews.
    • Absence – work alongside Managers/HoDs to monitor absence and make appropriate interventions.
    • Redundancies – support the HR Managers with consultations, calculations, redeployment and all related
    • Disciplinary and Grievance – lead conducting investigations, hearings and preparation of all related
    documents and correspondence, working collaboratively with Managers/HoDs
    • Contracts – work with Managers/HoDs to continuously review contract extensions, non-renewals and
    • Salary Reviews – review salaries in conjunction with Manager/HoDs ensuring they are within Company
    pay scales and that salary increases are fair and consistent.
    • Legislation – take ownership for providing legal updates to the HR team, keeping abreast of legal changes
    and producing presentations, hand outs and manager’s guides where appropriate. Updating existing
    documentation and drafting policy changes where applicable.
    • Oversee the administrative function in conjunction with the other HR Advisors – work with the HR
    Administrators and Assistants to ensure continuous improvements are made in processes and
    procedures, including reviewing and updating contract and letter templates as and when required. Work
    collaboratively with the HR Administrators to ensure efficient, timely and appropriate administration and
    • Projects – support the HR Managers in the implementation of new HR systems and work on any HR
    projects assigned as part of the overall HR Strategy.

    Key L&D Responsibilities:
    • Support the Global Head of Training in identifying training needs and delivering on these across the
    • Work with individual HoDs to identify training gaps within their departments and support them in
    developing solutions to these, with particular focus on the Company’s ‘non-artist’ departments.
    • Assist in the design and delivery of internal management training and coaching programmes.
    • Take ownership of any government training initiatives, including, but not limited to, the Apprenticeship
    • Supporting and coordinating with the Company’s other locations in L&D related activity.
    • Support the Training Department on the implementation and maintenance of the learning module on the
    HR database.

    Skills and Abilities:
    • Proven HR Generalist experience – essential
    • Proven L&D experience – essential
    • Experience in supporting on the design, delivery and administration of internal training and coaching
    initiatives – essential
    • At least 12 months experience operating at an advisory level - essential
    • Educated to degree level – essential
    • Able to demonstrate a practical understanding and interpretation of UK employment law – essential
    • Team player but able to motivate self and work independently on own initiative – essential
    • Ability to liaise confidently and credibly with people at all levels – essential
    • Proven ability to influence and build strong business partnerships within a business – essential
    • Flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to react calmly in a pressurised situation – essential

    • Experience of coordinating government funded training initiatives – desirable
    • Knowledge/experience of the Apprenticeship Levy – desirable
    • Experience of working within a creative industry – desirable
